New York City
A two floor workspace in the heart of Hudson Yards, designed by Soho House and delivered from our Southampton workshop. Set within an existing office building on the thirty second floor of Hudson Boulevard, the project reworked two complete levels to create a warm, natural working environment.

Working from Soho House’s concept designs, the scheme was developed into full build drawings for production and installation. Having worked with the client previously, the team understood the brief clearly, to create a relaxed, organic space that balanced comfort with refinement.
Our scope covered the development of the design package through to joinery, fabrication, paint, finishing and delivery. Working drawings, samples and prototypes were produced to resolve details before fabrication began, with regular coordination ensuring the design intent remained clear and buildable.

The project required careful adaptation to US food safety standards, electrical systems and building regulations. Lighting was integrated within joinery runs and bookcases to maintain consistency across both floors.
The staircase forms the centrepiece of the space. Designed and built in Southampton, it flares at the base and narrows towards the top. The structure was engineered to break down for shipping and reassembled on site thirty two floors above the city.
Oak, pitch pine, American walnut and steel form the core palette, layered with reclaimed materials for depth and character. Conference rooms were clad in reclaimed oak panels, while two pairs of bronze doors by Sir Charles Wheeler, salvaged from New Change in the City of London, were repurposed as wall features. Each door, weighing approximately eighty five kilograms, was restored, packed and shipped as part of the interior works.
All elements were completed in the workshop and packed into custom built crates. Sixteen forty foot containers transported the full interior from Southampton to New York.

Installation was carried out by a trusted New York contractor, working within strict US import and site regulations. Every element arrived protected, numbered and documented, allowing precise assembly of kitchens, coffee stations, desks, wash units and bookcases as designed.
The completed space is calm and understated, defined by warmth, texture and restraint. It reflects Soho House’s design language while demonstrating the craft, coordination and problem solving that underpin the workshop’s approach. The staircase remains the defining feature, combining structural clarity with material presence.

Tanera Mòr
Tanera is a remote island in the Inner Hebrides and the site of one of the largest private restoration projects in the UK. Calshot has worked closely with the Tanera Restoration project as a major contributor to the regeneration of the island.

Cadogan Garden Offices
This project involved the complete fit-out of a central London office building spread across four floors and a basement. The site came fully stripped out, with no external storage or laydown space. All deliveries and trades had to be coordinated carefully to maintain momentum within tight access restrictions.
